tudents at
Pond View Stables range from our very young riders to teens and adults. Many
are first time riders learning the very basics of horse control and rider
position. We also have students with some prior experience but looking to
gain more saddle time and improve their skills both on the flat and over
fences. We have many rider requests to assist in anxiety issues related to
various aspects of riding.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I am able to apply therapeutic techniques which help to manage rider anxiety and enable riders who feel "stuck" to gain confidence and move past barriers. While we do participate in some local shows, there is no pressure to compete as this allows for a more relaxed environment. However, the instruction and training for both horse and rider strive to create a team that would perform to the standards of competition.
Above all, instruction prioritizes safety and FUN!!
